A Job Well Done

I had a good day today in Tampa and finished up painting the garage door to look like wood.  In this first picture I wanted to show you how I tape off the vertical areas.  I don't use tape on the straight vertical line of the panel as that's easy not to over paint on.  Then with the areas taped off like this I apply the brown first then after that dries the black brown.

Once the whole door is done I go back and add another pass around the beveled edges of the panels.  This is what I call picture framing.  It really makes a big difference on how the final presentation looks when you do this.  Sets the whole garage door off.  After the door is done you can't tell its not wood, especially driving by.
