Create a Repeating Pattern for Wall Niche

So here is the project.  I was shown this picture of a pillow with the repeating pattern on it.  I was asked if could create that pattern in a wall niche that is 27 inches wide and 72 inches high.  So of course I said yes.

I was able to take the part of the pattern that repeated and size it to fit the space.  Then I drew it out to scale on paper and took it to the home site.

After painting in the background color and letting that dry I took a white watercolor pencil and traced around the pattern I had drawn.

Then I hand painted in the lines.  That was the tricky part.  To get a consistent line width with the entire pattern.   Took some patience but I was able to do that.  I was able to manipulate the pattern so it repeated 3 times evenly.  This niche will now get glass shelving.
